Our planning tool allows you to budget from the top down or the bottom up. Bottom up planning takes last year’s sales numbers by merchandizing group, adds a percentage for growth, and spits out a buying plan for you buyers to follow. Top down planning takes a total inventory valuation number and pushes it down to the different merchandising levels based on its percentage of last year’s sales. As PO’s are created, merchandise is received, and markdowns are taken, the budget is automatically updated.

Merchandising Scoreboard
    
The merchandising dashboard allows executives, buyers, store managers to keep tabs on merchandise performance. Each user creates an interest list made up of any number of interest items. For example, a buyer that does the buying for Department A would create an interest item for department A and set an acceptable range for a metric such as day supply on hand. If that department veered outside of the acceptable range the buyer would be notified immediately. The dashboard is completely interactive, so he could drill further down to see which styles were under or over performing. We call this a decision point. He has been notified of a problem and he can make one of the following decisions such as; Reorder, Transfer, Markdown, Hot Call Client Match to Inventory, Return to Vendor or Snooze. Conceivably every user would have a different dashboard that is completely customized to his or her area of interest and responsibility.
